ARTIST STATEMENT
As a first-year degree student of Art and Design Jacqui Bookers driving force is the desire to expose the wasteful use of limited and harmful resources, her work demonstrates that the reuse of material can create dynamic art.
She produces thought provoking artworks which are a collaboration of found and abandoned objects, repurposed and given a new chance for interaction.
This new lease of life references social, political, geographic and historical contexts to tell a story through Sculpture, assemblage and mixed media installation.
